After reading Angels in America Act I, scenes 5-9 and the poem by Donne, I realized the two were closly related. Donne spoke about sins and and the realization of Death. In Act I many people are afraid of death. Roy is in denial that he has AIDs because he knows death may soon follow. Roy tells himseld he has a different diesease. Prior is also afraid of death with his revalation that he has AIDs. He is afraid for his own life and the fact that Louis may leave him.
In both the book and poem they seem to speak about realizing wrongdoings and guilt. The two reading show true feelings when on the verge of death, and how people change knowing this.
